◎Tickets issued by the TRTC

■ Single-journey Ticket

 

  • Good for one passenger and one journey only.
  • There are 3 types of adult tickets: NT$70 (1 stop), NT$100 (2 stops) and NT$120 (3 stops).
  • Available at all Gondola station ticket vending machines and information counters.
  • Usage: Scan the QR code using the sensor on the automatic ticket gate. After the gate beeps or an arrow appears, push the turnstile to enter.
  • Discount tickets: NT$50 per journey. Available at all Gondola station information counters. Eligibility: Persons holding household registrations in Taipei City, children between 6-12 years of age, senior citizens (ages 65 and above), indigenous people registered in Taipei City (ages 55 and above), and disabled persons plus one companion, may purchase discount tickets on presentation of a valid ID and enter through the dedicated gates.
  • Valid only on the day of issue.


■ Discount ticket for local residents

  • Fare: NT$60.
  • Available at all Gondola station information counters with valid ID providing household registration in Zhinan, Laoquan, Zhengda, or Wanxing villages of Wenshan district, Taipei city. Passengers using these tickets should present valid ID and enter through the dedicated gates.
  • The ticket is valid for unlimited Gondola rides on the day of issue only. Only valid for one passenger per use.


■ Maokong Gondola 1-Day Fun Pass: (Launched March 12, 2021)
                  
                 1-Day Fun Pass for personal   1-Day Fun Pass for Group

  • NT$260 (No deposit is included).
  • Valid for only one person each journey. .
  • This ticket cannot be value-added. 
  • Availability: Sale at all Gondola stations.
  • Usage: Place the ticket over the EasyCard logo at the gate. When it beeps or an arrow appears, push the turnstile to pass through.


■ Group Ticket:

  • There is a 10% discount for groups of 10 or more passengers and 20% discount for groups of 40 and more.
  • Available at all Gondola station information counters.
  • No refunds can be given once issued. The ticket must bear TRTC's stamp.
  • Usage: Contact station staff to enter/exit the station through the Group Ticket Entrance/Exit.


■ Maokong Gondola Bulk Purchase Ticket

 

  • Passengers can activate the ticket before the expiry date. It is valid for 2 Gondola rides from first use until the end of service on a single day. Good for one passenger only.
  • Invalid if ticket has expired.
  • No refunds can be given once issued.
  • Eligibility: Legally registered travel agencies, hotels, airline companies, government authorities and enterprises in Taiwan.
  • Call our 24hr customer services on +886-2-218-12345 for purchases.
  • Usage: Passengers who purchased a Maokong Gondola Bulk Purchase Ticket can redeem their Maokong Gondola Ticket at the information counter of any Maokong Gondola station. Scan the Ticket's QR code using the sensor on the automatic ticket gate. After the gate beeps or an arrow appears, push the turnstile to enter. 


■ Maokong Gondola Special Bulk Purchase Ticket

  • It is valid for 1 Gondola ride on designated date. Good for one passenger only.
  • Invalid if ticket has expired.
  • No refunds can be given once issued.
  • Eligibility: Legally registered travel agencies, hotels, airline companies, government authorities and enterprises in Taiwan.

Tickets issued by the EasyCard Corporation

  • Passengers using EasyCard should consult rules governing EasyCard issuance and usage drawn up by the EasyCard Corporation. For more information, please visit the website of EasyCard Corporation.
  • Gondola stations are only authorized to sell second-generation EasyCards (Adult, Student and Concessionaire) which are sold outright and without any deposit or credit, and Taipei Fun Pass 【1-day Transportation Pass (Maokong Gondola Version)】

  • How to use the EasyCard for Maokong Gondola:
    Place the EasyCard over the EasyCard logo at the gate. When it beeps or an arrow appears, passengers can push the turnstile to pass through.
  • Introduction to types of EasyCard:

■ Taipei Fun Pass 【1-day Transportation Pass (Maokong Gondola Version)】

  • One day pass (NT$400). No deposit is included.
  • Valid only on the day of first use. Unused ticket is refundable with NT$20 handling fee.
  • You can choose when to activate the pass. Once activated by scanning on a ticket reader on a bus or at the Metro/Gondola gates, it is valid for unlimited travel until the end of service on the same day. Valid for one person at a time only.   • Availability: For sale at all Metro station and Maokong Gondola information counters

■ Second-generation Adult EasyCard

  • Eligibility: Ordinary passengers.
  • Deduction: Full fare.
  • Availability: For sale at all metro stations, Gondola stations, convenience stores with the EasyCard logo and EasyCard service centers.

■ Second-generation Student EasyCard

  • Eligibility: Students, police and military personnel.
  • Deduction: Full fare.
  • Availability: For sale at all metro stations, Gondola stations, convenience stores with the EasyCard logo and EasyCard service centers.
  • Upon activation on a public bus in Taipei, New Taipei City or Keelung, users of the Second-generation Student EasyCard receive discounted travel for 20 days (after which fares are assessed like a regular EasyCard). Cardholders are advised to register their card within five days after purchase. Upon receiving an approval notice from the EasyCard Corporation, cardholders must take their card to a designated location (7-ELEVEN, FamilyMart, Hi-Life, OK Mart, EasyCard service centers, Taipei Metro stations, top-up machines) to register to continue receiving student discounts.

■ Digital Student Identity EasyCard

  • Eligibility: Students.
  • Deduction: Full fare.
  • How to apply: Centralized application services through local education authorities or schools applying to EasyCard Corporation.

■ Second-generation Concessionaire EasyCard

  • Eligibility:
    1. Senior citizens (ages 65 and above) or people with disabilities;
    2. Children between 6 and 12 years of age;
    3. Indigenous people (ages 55 and above).
  • Deduction: Full fare.
  • Availability: For sale at all metro stations, Gondola stations, convenience stores with the EasyCard logo and EasyCard service centers.
    (Note: Disabled passengers, their companions and senior citizens aged 65 and above may purchase half price tickets from the information counter at the Gondola station on presentation of a valid ID.)

■ Senior/Charity/Companion EasyCards

  • Eligibility and application: Please ask your local government for details (for cities and counties already included in the scheme, please check the EasyCard Company’s official Chinese website at http://www.easycard.com.tw/easycard/02/apply.asp).
  • Senior/Charity EasyCard holders pay NT$50 per trip only. The same applies to Companion EasyCard holders if used on the same gate immediately after the corresponding Charity EasyCard holder. However, Companion EasyCards pay full fares if used independently.

■ Co-branded EasyCard

  • Eligibility: Ordinary passengers.
  • How to apply: Apply to the designated banks that are authorized to issue co-branded EasyCard.
  • Deduction: Full fare.

■ Other types of EasyCards

  • Registered EasyCard, card with special theme, and IC commodities are available for sale in accordance with regulations promulgated by EasyCard Corporation.
  • Deduction: Full fare.
