Note: It is recommended that after getting off at MRT Taipei Zoo Station, you can transfer to bus No. 236, 237, 282, 611, Brown 3, Brown 6, Brown 11, Brown 15, Brown 18, or Green 1 to National Chengchi University stop, then proceed on foot along Huanshan 3rd Rd. and Huanshan 2nd Rd. behind the campus to the entrance of the Feilong Trail (Zhangshan Temple Trail).

Finding Spiritual Maokong (Visit some of the area's renowned temples and understand local religious culture)

Hillside ascent entrance at National Chengchi University’s Zuimeng River (Zhinan River)→Flagstone steps up to Zhinan Temple → (Hike approx. 70 minutes) → Zhinan Temple, with meal of blessing→ (Walk approx. 10 minutes) →Lingxiao Shrine→ (Walk approx. 30 minutes) →Maokong Gondola Zhinan Temple Station → (Maokong Gondola approx. 15 minutes) →Maokong Gondola Taipei Zoo Station → Return to Taipei downtown

Note: Those who enjoy hiking may continue toward New Taipei City’s mountain trails. Hikers may take the road beyond Caonan Bridge and walk to New Taipei City’s scenery-rich Bijia Range and the Erge Mountain Trail, or go by vehicle/gondola to Zhinan Temple and start hiking Monkey Mountain to Shenkeng District’s Paozilun Cross-Ridge Trail. Alternatively, on the Zhanghu Trail heading to Milky Way Cave, there is a route leading to Xindian District’s Dailaokeng Mountain.
